“National Cashback Will Expire”: How Much Time Do You Have to Use Your Accumulated Balance?

Ukrainians must use the funds they have accumulated under the “National Cashback” program by the end of July 31, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
The Ministry of Digital Transformation previously announced that funds accrued during the first phase of the program—including cashback for April and remaining funds from the “Winter Thousand” program—can be spent through July 31.
The deadline for using these funds had previously been extended by one month to allow participants time to use their accumulated funds. The Ministry of Digital Transformation noted that after July 31, all unused funds will be automatically returned to the state budget.
However, the “National Cashback” program will continue to operate. Compensation for the purchase of Ukrainian goods will continue to be credited and paid out after the 20th of the month following the reporting month.

What Qualifies for Cashback
Program participants can receive:
- 5% cashback on purchases of groceries, automotive products, pharmacy items, and gardening and farming supplies;
- 15% cashback on non-food items, including clothing, footwear, electronics, toys, hobby, leisure, and home improvement items, as well as certain food products such as cheese, pasta, oats, and buckwheat.
How to spend your accumulated funds
You can use the cashback you’ve earned to:
- paying for utilities;
- paying for postal services;
- purchasing Ukrainian-made products;
- buying Ukrainian-made medicines and medical supplies;
- purchasing books and other printed materials;
- charitable donations, including those in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
How to Join the Program
To participate in the program, you must:
- open a special card at one of the partner banks;
- select the card you’ll use for purchases and authorize the bank to share transaction information;
- in the “Diya” app, under the “Services” section, link your card to receive “National Cashback” payments.
Cashback is credited only for cashless payments for goods participating in the program.
