Markets are also watching the US Federal Reserve’s policy review.

“There are also concerns ahead of this week’s Federal Open Market Committee meeting, which is expected to be dovish,” he said,

– Sycamore said.

Inflation in the US rose 2.7% in the 12 months to March, data showed on Friday, exceeding the Fed’s 2% target. Lower inflation would increase the likelihood of interest rate cuts, which would boost economic growth and oil demand.
