“Nash Format” has once again come under attack by Russia; there is damage

On the night of August 16, the office of the “Nash Format” publishing house near the “Pochayna” metro station was damaged as a result of yet another Russian attack on Kyiv. Parts of the walls in several offices were knocked out, and the ceiling and furniture were damaged. The “Nash Format” publishing house reported this to RBC-Ukraine, according to [Komersant].
What is known about the damage
On the night of August 16, the office of the “Nash Format” publishing house, located near the “Pochayna” metro station, was damaged as a result of shelling in Kyiv.
In several offices, sections of walls were knocked out, the ceiling was damaged, and furniture was destroyed or displaced. No employees were injured. The publishing house’s team is currently assessing the consequences of the attack and the extent of the damage.
Second Strike on the Publishing House
This is not the first time that Russian shelling has damaged “Nash Format’s” infrastructure.
On July 4, 2025, shelling of Kyiv damaged the publishing house’s warehouse and online store.
The shock wave and debris destroyed part of the facade, shattered windows, damaged the floors and interior of the warehouse, and some of the books were damaged by the shelling and firefighting efforts.
Estimated losses from downtime and relocation at that time ranged from $30,000 to $100,000. The publishing house managed to fully resume operations a month and a half after the attack.
