“Don’t put your life on hold”: Anna Gres on her secret to success in life and business

Anna Gres, actress of the show “Mama Giggled” and founder of Shovkovo, launched her brand of silk sleep accessories in memory of her mother, who dreamed of sleeping on silk underwear. Unfortunately, her mother did not wait for the opening of Shovkovo. It was this wish of a loved one that prompted Anna Gres to start her own business, which she had only dreamed of before. From that moment on, the brand’s founder began to believe that in business, as in life, it is better to take at least a small step towards your dream instead of standing still and waiting. She spoke about this during the information and motivational event “MamaBrand“, organised by Kommersant Ukrainian 
“Before, I used to put everything off because everything was imperfect, but now I started living by the principle ‘better somehow than not at all’. Yes, it was a sad motivation, but at that moment I realised that I shouldn’t put life off, because now we all live in conditions where we don’t know when our last day will be,”
– said the project’s heroine.
In her opinion, if you start something, you shouldn’t be afraid of being judged and listen to those who will discourage you, because, as they say, you have to learn from your own mistakes.
“Yes, it will be scary, because everything is not perfect. Start what you want, what you dream of, don’t put it off, do it now. You will probably be discouraged, but if anything, it will be your mistakes! Even if you do something, you will fail, but you will know what and why you failed, and you will stop thinking about it! Your unrealised plans and ideas are very energising,”
