The NEURC Raised Ukrenergo’s Tariff: How This Will Affect Consumers

30 June 17:10

The National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Public Utilities (NKREKP) has raised the tariff charged by NEC “Ukrenergo” for operational and dispatch management services.

The regulator adopted the decision at a meeting on June 30, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".

The changes take effect on July 1. Tariffs will rise by 7.8%—to 118.64 UAH/MWh (excluding VAT).

The NEURC also planned to raise the electricity transmission tariff by 21.8%—to 903.53 UAH/MWh (excluding VAT).

This issue was removed from consideration due to a legal conflict in the updated legislation on the electricity market. The regulator plans to revisit the transmission tariff adjustment at a later date.

Previously, the company stated that raising these tariffs would affect the price of electricity for businesses, while the price of Ukrenergo’s services for households would remain unchanged.

As a reminder: In May, Ukrenergo submitted a proposal to the NEURC to increase the company’s tariffs for electricity transmission and operational and technical management of the power system for 2026.

The company cited rising exchange rates, the liberalization of price caps (maximum electricity prices for businesses), and a revision of the forecast balance of Ukraine’s Integrated Power System (IPS) as the reasons for the tariff review.

As previously reported, effective January 1, 2026, the transmission tariff will be 742.91 UAH/MWh, and the dispatch tariff will be 110.03 UAH/MWh.
