“Nova Poshta” Will Now Sort and Store Packages in a New Way: What Will Change for Customers
11 August 14:24
“Nova Poshta” is restructuring its package sorting system due to war-related risks. The company is transitioning to a decentralized logistics system and creating backup parcel-processing systems so that deliveries can continue even if individual facilities are damaged. The company’s press service announced the reorganization, according to
How parcels will be sorted going forward
The decentralized model ensures that parcel processing will not be concentrated solely at individual large logistics facilities.
In the event of an emergency or if one of the sorting centers becomes inoperable, the flow of parcels can be rerouted through other facilities.
To this end, Nova Poshta is simultaneously implementing backup systems for processing shipments.
What Will Change for “Nova Poshta” Customers
The company has not announced any new rules for sending, receiving, or storing packages at its branches. The statement also does not mention any changes to rates or standard storage periods.
The main changes will take place within the logistics system:
- shipments can be routed through backup sorting facilities;
- routes can be quickly adjusted depending on the situation;
- delivery will be less dependent on a single large terminal;
- the company will be able to resume parcel processing more quickly after emergencies.
For customers, this may go unnoticed: a package will be sent to the specified branch, parcel locker, or address, but its internal route may change.
Nova Poshta emphasizes that the goal of the reorganization is to continue providing fast delivery under any circumstances.

Could Delivery Times Change?
The company has not announced any general increase in delivery times. On the contrary, the backup systems are designed to maintain network stability and reduce the risk of prolonged disruptions.
At the same time, the route for a specific shipment may be rerouted if necessary. Therefore, customers are advised to rely on information about their specific package rather than on general announcements on social media.
You can check the current status, estimated time of arrival, and shipment tracking:
- in the official “Nova Poshta” app;
- on the company’s website;
- using the express waybill number;
- through official support channels.
Why the company isn’t disclosing new routes
“Nova Poshta” does not disclose the exact locations of its backup facilities or the routes used to transport shipments.
The company explained that it will not disclose:
- details of the reorganization;
- the locations of its logistics facilities;
- the specifics of backup routes;
- the specifics of how the shipment processing systems operate.
These restrictions have been implemented for the safety of employees, customers, packages, and the entire logistics network.
