Russia destroyed a “Nova Poshta” sorting center: what will happen to deliveries?

On the night of August 4, Russian troops launched a devastating strike on one of Nova Poshta’s main sorting centers in Kyiv. As a result of the attack, the logistics terminal was completely destroyed; three people were killed and eight others were injured.

This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian", citing an official statement from Nova Poshta.

Three dead and eight injured

According to the company, the victims of the Russian strike were:

  • two drivers from a partner company that was handling the shipment;
  • one employee of a subcontractor.

Eight more people sustained injuries of varying severity.

The company expressed its condolences to the families and loved ones of the deceased.

The sorting center was completely destroyed

As a result of a direct hit , the “Nova Poshta” sorting terminal sustained critical damage.

Company specialists are already assessing the extent of the damage and the loss of logistics infrastructure.

This is not the first strike against the delivery operator’s facilities in recent days. Earlier, Russian troops attacked the company’s logistics facilities in Poltava and Pryluky, and now one of the capital’s key centers has come under fire.

What Will Happen to the Packages

“Nova Poshta” has assured that all customers whose shipments were destroyed or damaged as a result of the attack will receive compensation.

The company stated that:

  • the full declared value of the shipments will be reimbursed;
  • each customer will be contacted individually;
  • the compensation procedure will be announced at a later date.

Will Nova Poshta Continue to Operate?

Despite significant damage, the company stated that it continues to operate throughout Ukraine.

  • via the tracking system;
  • on the company’s official website.

The press office emphasized that, over the years of full-scale war, the company has managed to build a resilient logistics system that allows operations to continue even after the most massive attacks.

Russia continues to target civilian logistics

The nighttime attack was part of a massive strike on Kyiv and the Kyiv region.

The following came under Russian fire:

  • logistics complexes;
  • warehouses;
  • manufacturing facilities;
  • civilian infrastructure.

In recent days, facilities belonging to Epicenter, Millennium, Biosphere, Lasunka, and other Ukrainian companies have also been damaged or destroyed.
