The Russian Federation’s attack on the Kyiv region caused extensive damage to businesses: warehouses, logistics centers, and manufacturing facilities were destroyed

On the night of August 4, Russian troops launched yet another combined strike on the Kyiv region. According to preliminary reports, 14 people were killed and another 22 were wounded as a result of the attack. The Brovary district suffered the heaviest losses, with nine confirmed deaths. In the Bucha district, four more civilians fell victim to the Russian strike, and one more person was killed in the Fastiv district. Read more in the article "Komersant Ukrainian".
Major logistics centers were targeted
In addition to residential and industrial infrastructure, the Russian attack caused significant damage to private businesses. Russia damaged and destroyed a number of distribution centers and warehouses belonging to leading Ukrainian companies.
One of the hardest-hit facilities was the “Nova Poshta” sorting center in Kyiv, which, according to the company, was attacked with cluster munitions. Three people were killed in the strike—two drivers from a partner company and an employee of a subcontractor—and eight others were injured. The company stated that it would compensate customers for the full declared value of all damaged shipments.
Epicenter’s infrastructure also sustained serious damage. On Viskozna Street in Kyiv, the company’s logistics center was completely destroyed by fire, while in Kalynivka, two large warehouses were destroyed, along with 20 company vehicles. One employee is known to have died, and three others were injured.
The Epicentr Ceramic Corporation plant—one of Ukraine’s largest manufacturers of ceramic tiles—was particularly hard hit. The company announced that it is temporarily relocating its production processes to overseas facilities, and preliminary estimates suggest that restoring the damaged plant could take between one and a half and two years.

Warehouses belonging to Rozetka, “Biosfera,” “Silpo,” and NOVUS were destroyed
Russian missiles also struck Rozetka’s largest distribution center in Brovary, which processed over 100,000 orders per day. According to the company’s co-founder, Iryna Chechotkina, the extent of the damage makes restoration impossible.
In addition, on the night of August 4, Russian drones attacked Dnipro. During the strike, a warehouse complex—which included a “Biosfera” warehouse—was completely destroyed. Company founder Andriy Zdesenko reported that the destroyed facility covered an area of approximately 20,000 square meters. No one was injured, but the company lost a significant stock of finished products and part of its logistics capacity.
Damage was also reported in the capital to food warehouses belonging to the Silpo and NOVUS retail chains. Other facilities targeted by the Russian strike included the “Plastmas” factory, the logistics company “Raben Ukraine,” and the “Eurobeton” enterprise.
Government to Hold Meetings with Businesses Following the Attack
The Cabinet of Ministers plans to hold meetings with representatives of Ukrainian businesses in the near future. Ukrainian Prime Minister Serhiy Koretskyi announced this on August 5.
The government intends to work with business leaders to develop solutions that will ensure the uninterrupted operation of companies even amid intensifying Russian attacks.
To organize these efforts, the Cabinet of Ministers has already instructed the Ministry of Economy and Environment to hold consultations with representatives of the business community and prepare proposals to support the continued operation of enterprises.
