Up to 100 ballistic missiles per month: Zelenskyy’s office warned of a new threat
5 August 13:45
Russia has changed its tactics in the war against Ukraine and is increasingly targeting civilian economic infrastructure. Logistics centers, retail chain warehouses, manufacturing plants, and food distribution centers have come under fire. In addition, the aggressor country is capable of launching up to 100 ballistic missiles per month using its stockpiled reserves.
This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian", citing a statement by Serhiy “Flash” Beskrestnov, an advisor to the President of Ukraine on defense technologies.
Russia has moved into a new phase of the war
According to Beskrestnov, the war of attrition has entered a new stage.
Whereas previously the main targets were energy infrastructure and defense industry facilities, the enemy is now systematically destroying Ukraine’s civilian economy.
“The enemy is attacking everything in sight: retail warehouses, food warehouses, logistics hubs, industrial facilities, and construction material warehouses,” the presidential adviser noted.
He emphasized that the main goal of such attacks is not only to inflict material damage but also to disrupt logistics and the supply of goods and to exert additional economic pressure on Ukraine.
Logistics and Large Companies Under Attack
The latest massive attacks confirm a shift in Russia’s tactics.
During the nighttime strike on August 5, logistics complexes and production sites of a number of Ukrainian companies were damaged or destroyed, including:
- the “Nova Poshta” sorting center;
- Epicenter’s logistics complexes;
- the ceramic tile production facility of Epicentr Ceramic Corporation;
- warehouses belonging to manufacturers such as Millennium, “Lasunka, ” “Biosfera,” and other companies.
Such strikes are intended to make it more difficult to supply Ukrainians with everyday goods and to disrupt business operations.

Russia may launch up to 100 ballistic missiles per month
Separately, Serhiy Beskrestnov drew attention to the capabilities of the Russian military-industrial complex.
According to his assessment, Russia is capable of launching up to 100 ballistic missiles per month.
At the same time, the current intensity of the strikes may be linked to the use of accumulated stockpiles:
According to the presidential adviser, Russia is currently launching more missiles by using reserves to create a “demonstrative response.”
At the same time, he does not rule out that once these stockpiles are depleted, the rate of missile launches may change depending on the pace of their production.
Which companies were affected
During the massive attack, facilities belonging to a number of large Ukrainian companies were damaged or completely destroyed.
In particular, the following were previously reported:
- the complete destruction of the “Nova Poshta” sorting center;
- the destruction of Epicenter’s logistics complexes and production facilities;
- strikes on Rozetka warehouses;
- damage to manufacturing facilities and other logistics centers.
Ensuring the uninterrupted operation of these companies will be one of the main issues in the government’s consultations.
Consequences of the Attack
According to the Prime Minister, as a result of the massive Russian strike:
- 17 people were killed;
- 44 civilians were injured.
The following personnel have been deployed to address the aftermath of the attack:
