Massive attack on the Kyiv region: Russia killed 14 people in a single night; there are even casualties on the railroad

On the night of August 5, Russian troops carried out one of the largest combined attacks on the Kyiv region since the beginning of the year. As a result of the massive strike, 14 people were killed and another 22 were wounded. Among the dead are people who were found on railway infrastructure.
This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian", citing Timur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, and Ukrzaliznytsia.
The Brovary District Suffered the Most Casualties
According to Timur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, the Brovary district suffered the heaviest losses, with nine people killed.
Additionally:
- 4 people were killed in the Bucha district;
- 1 person died in the Fastiv district.
Thus, the total number of casualties from the Russian attack on the Kyiv region stands at 14 people.
Dozens of people were injured
According to the State Emergency Service, 27 people were injured.
Specifically:
- in the Brovary district— 12 people were injured;
- in the Bucha district— 7;
- in the Fastiv district— 3.
Rescue operations are underway at several locations simultaneously.
Fires have engulfed logistics centers and warehouses
Large-scale fires broke out at industrial and logistics facilities as a result of Russian strikes.
In the Brovary district, warehouse complexes were on fire:
- in Brovary;
- Velyka Dymerka;
- Kvitneve;
- in Peremoha.
In the Bucha district, firefighters are continuing to extinguish a fire at a warehouse in the village of Chaiky.









Rescue workers also extinguished a fire on the grounds of a logistics company in Sofiivska Borshchahivka.
In the Fastiv district, a fire engulfed vehicles on the grounds of one of the enterprises.
Russia has named the warehouses that, according to its account, were attacked overnight in Kyiv and the surrounding region.
In Kyiv, it is claimed that the “MLP-Chaika” logistics center, the “Nova Poshta” terminal and logistics center, the “Trans-Logistic” transport and logistics center, and the “Epicenter” warehouse complex were hit.
In the Kyiv region, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported strikes on the “Terminal Brovary” and “Raben Ukraine” logistics centers, as well as the “Nova Poshta” sorting complex in Brovary.
Meanwhile, social media users report that “Nova Poshta” branches in Obolon, the Rozetka warehouse in Brovary, and “Epicenter” warehouses at the DVRZ and in Kalynivka were likely hit.

Factories and other warehouses on the right bank of Kyiv were also attacked, and warehouse facilities near Borshchahivka were destroyed.
There is currently no official information from the companies involved.









There are fatalities on the railway
Ukrzaliznytsia also reported on the consequences of the attack.
According to preliminary reports, fatalities were found on a railroad platform near the attacked logistics centers.
During the massive airstrike:
- train service was temporarily suspended;
- passengers were evacuated;
- station staff followed a special safety protocol.
Ukrzaliznytsia noted that due to the nighttime attack, temporary delays in the movement of some trains are possible.
Kyiv also came under a massive attack
Simultaneously with the Kyiv region, Russian troops attacked the capital with ballistic missiles and strike drones.
According to the latest official data:
- one person was killed in Kyiv;
- 24 people were injured;
- residential buildings, warehouse complexes, and civilian infrastructure were damaged.
Rescue operations in Kyiv and the region are ongoing.
