Russia struck a high-rise building in Dnipro: there are casualties

On the night of April 24, 2026, Russian forces launched a massive attack on Dnipro using missiles and drones. One of the enemy strikes hit a four-story residential building, causing severe damage. According to official reports, the attack resulted in injuries and damage to an industrial infrastructure facility. This was reported by the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration, Oleksandr Hanzha, as reported by "Komersant Ukrainian"

According to the Regional State Administration, the city was under enemy attack for most of the night. After another wave of attacks, it became known that a four-story building in Dnipro had been damaged.

Oleksandr Hanzha initially reported a preliminary number of injured, but later clarified that the number had risen to 8 people. Two of them are children.

The victims were girls aged 9 and 14. The children were taken to the hospital.

Among the injured were women aged 41, 44, and 58, and a 41-year-old man. All of them were hospitalized, and medical personnel initially assessed their condition as moderate.

Two people died.

What damage did the building sustain?

It has been officially confirmed that the high-rise building sustained serious damage.

Local Telegram channels reported that an entrance had collapsed and people were trapped under the rubble, but these details had not been officially confirmed as of the first reports in the morning.

In addition to the residential building, the occupiers also struck an industrial infrastructure facility. The Regional Military Administration reported that the consequences of this strike were still being assessed, and fires broke out in the city following the shelling. Thus, the attack affected not only residential buildings but also industrial facilities.

As of the first morning updates, repeated explosions were still heard in Dnipro, and the air raid alert remained in effect.
