One of the most massive attacks on “Ukrnafta”: The company has announced the consequences of the Russian strikes

Russian troops attacked seven Ukrnafta facilities overnight that support oil and gas production in eastern Ukraine. Some of the facilities have been shut down, and the company has suffered significant production losses. This was reported by the press service of the Naftogaz Group, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
“Russia is systematically attacking Ukrainian oil and gas production to inflict maximum damage on our infrastructure ahead of winter,” said Serhiy Fedorenko, acting chairman of the Naftogaz board.
According to him, this was the most intense shelling of Ukrnafta facilities in recent times.
In addition, over the past 24 hours, the Russians attacked four Ukrnafta gas stations in the Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions. Neither customers nor employees were injured.

Attacks on “Ukrnafta”
Since the beginning of 2026, Russian troops have destroyed 32 gas stations in the “Ukrnafta” network and another five gas stations belonging to “Ukrgazvydobuvannya.” Some of the damaged facilities have already been restored.
According to the company, Russian troops have repeatedly attacked some facilities—even after they had been repaired and resumed operations.
Some of the damaged gas stations have been brought back into operation. At the same time, a number of stations sustained critical damage and are currently out of service.
Since April, Russia has intensified its attacks on Ukraine’s fuel infrastructure. The geographic scope of the strikes is expanding—from frontline regions to highways deeper into the country. Since early July, at least six operators have come under attack.
Due to the intensifying shelling, the BVS and ZOG gas station networks have suspended nighttime operations, while WOG introduced special operating procedures at its gas stations in the Sumy, Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, and parts of the Poltava regions starting July 1.
“Ukrnafta” is Ukraine’s largest oil producer and the operator of the country’s largest network of gas stations, comprising nearly 700 stations. As of the end of 2025, the company reported 99.6 billion UAH in revenue, paid 28.8 billion UAH in taxes, and distributed 5 billion UAH in dividends to the state. The company has been under state control since 2022.
Since the start of Russian aggression in 2014, Ukrnafta’s state-owned network has lost 123 gas stations. Of these, 67 remain in temporarily occupied territories, while the others were destroyed or ceased operations due to their proximity to combat zones.
