A Russian strike destroyed the Ukrposhta sorting facility in Pavlohrad; there are fatalities

Russian troops struck Pavlohrad in the Dnipropetrovsk region, destroying a sorting depot and a base for Ukrposhta’s mobile branches. Two female employees of the company were killed in the attack, and another employee was injured. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian", citing a statement by Ukrposhta CEO Igor Smiliansky.
“The most painful thing is that this strike claimed the lives of two female employees: Olya and Olya. We extend our condolences to their families, friends, and the entire Ukrposhta team, which is mourning this loss.
Our mechanic was also wounded during the shelling. Fortunately, his life is not in danger,” the statement reads.
The destroyed depot served Pavlohrad and all the surrounding villages in the district. Despite the destruction of infrastructure, the company has already activated backup operating procedures.
Key details regarding operations and compensation:
“Ukrposhta” pledges to fully reimburse customers for the cost of all shipments destroyed during the attack.
Pensions, medications, packages, and letters will be delivered according to schedule. Minor delays are possible in the first few days as new logistics processes are established.
Cleanup efforts are currently underway at the site of the attack with the participation of State Emergency Service rescue workers.
