Russia attacked a grain warehouse and a hotel complex in the Odesa region

The Russian attack caused fires in two districts of the Odesa region at once. The fire engulfed a grain warehouse, the roof of a hotel complex, and dry grass. According to preliminary reports, no one was injured. This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, as reported by "Komersant Ukrainian"
Russian troops launched yet another strike on civilian targets in the Odesa region. Fires broke out in the Odesa and Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi districts.
A total of 65 firefighters and 16 pieces of equipment were deployed to deal with the aftermath of the attack. Rescuers managed to quickly contain the flames and prevent them from spreading to neighboring structures.
Damage in the Odesa District
In the Odesa district, a warehouse used for grain storage caught fire as a result of the Russian strike.
Units of the State Emergency Service contained the fire and stopped it from spreading. Information regarding the area affected by the fire, the volume of grain damaged, and the company’s potential losses has not yet been released.
According to Suspilne Odesa, preliminary data indicates there were no fatalities or injuries at the facility.
The strike once again targeted the region’s grain infrastructure, which is vital for the storage and export of Ukrainian agricultural products.

A hotel roof caught fire in another district
In the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district, the roof of a hotel complex caught fire following an attack. The fire also spread to nearby dry grass.
Rescue workers extinguished both fires. The spread of the flames to other buildings was prevented.
There were no reports of casualties at the hotel complex. The final consequences of the strike and the extent of property damage are being determined.
How many rescue workers were on the scene
The State Emergency Service deployed 58 rescue workers and 14 pieces of specialized equipment to address the aftermath of the Russian attack.
Additionally, seven members of the local fire department and two pieces of equipment were on site. Thus, 65 firefighters, using 16 specialized vehicles, brought the fires in the region under control.
Thanks to the prompt response of the units, the fire did not spread beyond the damaged facilities.
Odesa Region Is Once Again Under Russian Attack
On the night of August 14, the southern districts of the Odesa region came under attack by Russia once again. Damage was reported in residential areas, at warehouse facilities, and in open terrain.
The Odesa region is regularly subjected to Russian attacks due to the presence of port, transportation, and agricultural infrastructure. Strikes on warehouses and grain silos pose additional risks to Ukrainian producers and food exports.
Authorities are urging residents of the region not to ignore air raid sirens and to remain in shelters until an official all-clear is announced.
