Russia has fired more than 40 missiles at Ukraine: one person has been killed and many others wounded

On the night of July 19, Russia launched a massive combined strike against Ukraine, using 41 missiles of various types and 126 attack drones, according to the Ukrainian Air Force. Kyiv was the main target of the attack, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
According to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, one person was killed and 16 others were injured as a result of the strike.
“The enemy fired more than 40 missiles of various types, most of them at the capital, and 120 attack drones. At this time, one fatality has been reported in Kyiv and the surrounding region, and 16 others were injured,” Zelenskyy wrote on his Telegram channel.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko clarified that nine of the injured are hospitalized, three of whom are in serious condition.

According to the Air Force, electronic warfare units detected 166 air attack weapons: 10 “Zircon” anti-ship missiles, 25 “Iskander-M/S-400” ballistic missiles, 3 “Onyx” missiles, 3 X-59/69 guided air-to-ground missiles, and 125 strike UAVs (“Gerbera,” “Italmas”). Air defense forces shot down or neutralized 126 targets: 18 missiles and 108 drones. At the same time, 23 missiles and 10 attack UAVs were recorded as having struck 20 locations, and debris from downed drones was found at 18 locations.
In Kyiv, strikes hit five districts—Solomyanskyi, Desnianskyi, and Shevchenkivskyi—where fires broke out. In the Bucha district of the Kyiv region, warehouse buildings and a logistics facility were on fire. Additionally, on July 19, Russian forces again struck a passenger train in the Zaporizhzhia region with a drone, according to the press service of Ukrzaliznytsia. According to the carrier, there were no casualties. Preliminary data indicate that one of the conductors sustained minor injuries.
In just one week, according to Zelenskyy, Russia deployed approximately 1,450 attack drones, over 1,640 guided bombs, and 99 missiles against Ukraine. The attacks targeted the Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, Chernihiv, Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zhytomyr, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, Poltava, Kharkiv, Kherson, and Cherkasy regions. The president emphasized that “protection against ballistic threats is a constant and top priority right now” and called on partners to continue supplying air defense systems. Nearly 600 rescue workers are involved in dealing with the aftermath of the attack.
