Following the Russian attack on the capital on the night of July 19, WineTime and Goodwine—major suppliers of alcoholic beverages to the Ukrainian market that also operate their own stores—reported losses to their warehouses, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
“During the nighttime shelling, eight enemy ballistic missiles struck our main product warehouse. We are still recovering from the attack. This is a significant loss for WineTime,” reads a statement from WineTime on Facebook.
According to reports, the attack destroyed one of the largest logistics complexes near Kyiv—Amtel, with an area of 100,200 square meters, located in the village of Bilhorodka in the Bucha district.
The same complex also housed a warehouse for Goodwine products.
“Last night, Russian missiles also struck the Goodwine warehouse. This is the second time… This time, only a portion of the remaining products was in the warehouse,” the Facebook post states.
Both companies thanked the State Emergency Service for extinguishing the fire and noted that none of their employees were injured, but there were casualties among the warehouse operator’s staff.
“We are currently doing everything possible to prevent disruptions or delays in our operations, while continuing to supply our partners who have lost most of their inventory,” Goodwine stated.
WOG, Ukrtac, the “Knygolav” publishing house, and Coffeton also reported the loss of warehouses following this shelling.
