Average Salary in Ukraine in 2026: Who Earns the Most

In the first quarter of 2026, the average monthly wage in Ukraine was 28,885 UAH. At the same time, the average salary for men was significantly higher, reaching 33,798 UAH, while women earned an average of 24,791 UAH.
This was reported by the State Statistics Service, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
The wage ratio between men and women is 73%. This means that, on average, women earn only 73% of what men earn.

Sectors with the Largest Gap
The wage gap between men and women is most pronounced in the following sectors:
- Arts, sports, entertainment, and recreation: the gap is 47.1%.
- Finance and insurance: the gap is 38.7%.
- Information and telecommunications: the gap is 37.8%.
As a reminder, a bill was previously registered with the Verkhovna Rada proposing to adjust the subsistence minimum figures in Ukraine’s 2026 State Budget , as well as to increase the minimum pension, minimum wage, and financial support for military personnel.
