Shmyhal announced changes in the social sphere from March 1

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced changes in the social sphere in Ukraine that will take place on March 1.

He said this during a government meeting, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

“Starting March 1, we will automatically extend the accommodation payments for internally displaced persons. Those who receive them now will receive them automatically for the next six months. We are talking about 1.2 million IDPs,” the Prime Minister said.

Shmyhal noted that pension indexation will also start on March 1. The increase will be by 11.5% for almost 10 million pensioners.

Also, tomorrow, prices for 100 most popular medicines will be reduced.

“In addition, there is an agreement with Ukrainian pharmaceutical companies to reduce prices for another 100 medicines. Prices will be reduced by 10 to 50%,” the Prime Minister added.

Also, starting March 1, pensions for pensioners who retired before December 31, 2024, will be recalculated with a coefficient of 1.115, or 11.5%.
