On Sunday, November 22, the United States, Ukraine, and the EU will hold talks on Donald Trump’s new “peace plan”.
This is reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to CNN and Sudostschweiz.
According to CNN, U.S. Secretary of the Army Dan Driscoll and his team landed in Geneva, Switzerland, this morning, where he will meet with high-ranking officials to discuss further steps toward peace.
The source said that tomorrow, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff will join the talks .
He emphasized that the goal is to agree on the wording before the meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and US President Donald Trump.
Meanwhile, Sudostschweiz also writes that talks on Trump’s peace plan will take place tomorrow in Geneva. According to Reuters, the meeting will be attended by national security advisers from France, Britain, Germany, as well as representatives of the United States and Ukraine.
It is known that the Ukrainian side will be represented by the head of the President’s Office, Andriy Yermak, and Rustem Umerov, and the American side will be represented by Dan Driscoll, Steve Witkoff, and Marco Rubio.
It is worth adding that, according to a CNN source, a meeting between the Russian and American delegations to discuss the proposed plan is also scheduled. The official said that it “will be quick,” but not in Geneva. He refused to specify the place and date of the meeting.
The US peace plan
Recently, it became known that the United States has developed a new “peace plan” to end the war in Ukraine. It consists of 28 points.
According to those points that were reported in the media, Ukraine will have to withdraw from Donbas, reduce the number of the Armed Forces, give up long-range weapons, and more. In exchange for this, according to Axios, the country will be given NATO-like guarantees.
Trump has publicly confirmed that the deadline for approving the deal is November 27. He also told reporters yesterday that Zelenskyy would have to agree to it, or the country would have to continue fighting.
