Shooting in Lviv: Police Release Details

Today, April 23, gunshots were heard in a high-rise building in Lviv, after which law enforcement officers and police special forces arrived at the scene.
This was reported by National Police spokeswoman Yulia Girdvilis in a comment to RBC-Ukraine, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
According to police, law enforcement received an emergency call reporting gunfire in a residential building. An investigative team and special forces arrived at the scene promptly.
Police determined that a man had fired several shots inside the apartment. He was detained.
According to preliminary information, no one was injured as a result of the incident. Investigators are currently working at the scene to determine all the circumstances of the incident.
Later, Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi responded to the incident.
“Regarding the gunshots heard in Lviv. We are awaiting information from law enforcement agencies. Please: rely only on official sources and do not panic,” the mayor’s statement reads.
As a reminder, today, April 23, local residents in Lviv reported hearing gunshots. Law enforcement and medical personnel arrived at the scene promptly. The shooter was detained.
