Electricity prices won’t go up: what will the electricity rate be until the end of October?

30 April 06:34

The Cabinet of Ministers has extended the current electricity tariff for residential consumers until October 31, 2026. This was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, according to "Komersant Ukrainian"

According to her, the government is keeping electricity prices for the public unchanged to support residential consumers, particularly households for whom electricity is the primary source of heat.

What electricity rates will apply to the public

For most residential consumers, the electricity tariff will remain at:

4.32 UAH per kWh

This rate will remain in effect until October 31, 2026. The government emphasizes that electricity prices for the public will not be raised during this period.

Preferential rate for electric heating

A preferential rate will remain in effect for certain categories of households. This applies to homes and apartments with electric heating, as well as apartment buildings that are not connected to gas supply or centralized or autonomous heating systems.

From October 1 to April 30, the following rate will apply to these consumers:

2.64 UAH per kWh — for consumption up to 2,000 kWh per month

If a household consumes more than 2,000 kWh per month, the base rate of 4.32 UAH per kWh will apply to the amount exceeding this limit.
