Thousands of homes without power: Russians strike an energy facility in the Chernihiv region

On the morning of April 27, Russian forces launched a massive attack on Koryukivka in the Chernihiv region. Over the course of 40 minutes, the city was struck by 18 drone hits.
This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian", citing Pavlo Miroshnychenko, head of the Koryukivka District State Administration.
The attack lasted from 4:30 to 5:10 a.m.
“Preliminary reports indicate that 18 UAVs struck three locations. These include a critical infrastructure facility and two businesses. Nearby buildings were damaged,” Miroshnychenko wrote.

What was destroyed
As a result of the strike: an energy infrastructure facility was destroyed; a number of industrial enterprises were destroyed; residential buildings near the impact sites were damaged.
At all three locations, rescue workers and utility services continue to deal with the aftermath of the attack.

Consequences of the attack
A 42-year-old employee of a local enterprise and an 81-year-old man were injured in the explosions. Details regarding the condition of the injured are still being clarified.
Power outages are also being reported in the city. According to Chernihivoblenergo JSC, approximately 4,500 customers are without power.
According to the report, utility workers are working to restore power.
The day before, Russian occupiers attacked Chernihiv with strike drones. One of the drones exploded near a high-rise building, damaging windows.
