In Ivano-Frankivsk, a businesswoman saved someone else’s Volvo from flooding and jokingly sent them a bill. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian", citing a social media post.
Local businesswoman Melania Tymkiv saved a Volvo from getting flooded after its owner carelessly left the sunroof open during a heavy downpour.
Seeing that the interior of the foreign car was about to turn into a swimming pool, the woman didn’t panic. She found a piece of plastic sheeting and securely covered the hole in the car’s roof, saving the leather seats and electronics from water damage.
The woman posted a photo of the covered car on social media with a message addressed to the forgetful driver.
“The Volvo driver who left the sunroof open owes us 46 UAH for the plastic sheet,” the post reads.
This story quickly spread across local social media groups.
Users in the comments joke that 46 hryvnias is probably the cheapest “insurance policy” and car interior cleaning in the history of the auto industry, and they advised Melania herself to issue a bonus for her quick response.
