Power outages have occurred in eight regions of Ukraine due to shelling by Russia

As of June 1, some consumers in eight regions of Ukraine remain temporarily without power due to hostilities and Russian shelling of energy infrastructure. The press service of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine reported on the situation in the power grid, according to "Komersant Ukrainian"
At the same time, the Ministry of Energy emphasizes that no power restrictions are currently expected.
Where there is no power on June 1
Due to the consequences of hostilities and shelling of energy infrastructure, some consumers remain without power in eight regions of Ukraine.
These regions include:
- Dnipropetrovsk;
- Zhytomyr;
- Zaporizhzhia;
- Odesa;
- Sumy;
- Kherson;
- Kharkiv;
- Chernihiv.
The Ministry of Energy notes that power companies are working around the clock to restore power to all customers as quickly as possible.

Repair work is ongoing around the clock
According to the Ministry of Energy, repair crews are working around the clock to restore power.
Specialists are addressing the damage to power grids caused by combat operations and shelling. Such work is often complicated by the security situation, especially in frontline and border communities.
Despite this, energy workers are trying to restore power to consumers as quickly as possible wherever the situation allows.

Will there be power outage schedules on June 1
The Ministry of Energy emphasized that no power restrictions are expected on June 1.
This means that scheduled power outages due to electricity shortages are not currently expected. At the same time, local power outages are possible due to damage to the grid caused by shelling.
The ministry advises Ukrainians to follow updates on the official websites of their regional power companies, as the situation in individual communities may change depending on the consequences of attacks and the pace of repair work.
Why consumers are being asked to conserve electricity
Although no restrictions are forecast for June 1, the Ministry of Energy urges Ukrainians to use electricity sparingly during peak consumption hours.
This primarily refers to morning and evening hours, when the load on the power grid traditionally increases.
Rational use of electricity helps reduce the load on the system, especially following attacks on energy infrastructure.
