The euro is rising in value: The NBU has set the exchange rate for June 1

The National Bank of Ukraine has set the official exchange rates for Monday, June 1. The dollar remained at the previous level, while the euro rose in value.
This is according to data from the National Bank of Ukraine, reports "Komersant Ukrainian"
Dollar exchange rate as of June 1
On Monday, June 1, the National Bank of Ukraine set the official dollar exchange rate at:
- 1 U.S. dollar — 44.27 UAH.
Thus, the exchange rate of the U.S. currency remained unchanged compared to the previous rate.
The stability of the dollar at the official level is important for the Ukrainian currency market, as this currency remains the primary benchmark for imports, major purchases, fuel, equipment, cars, and a portion of household savings.

Euro exchange rate as of June 1
The European currency has risen in value at the start of summer. The NBU’s official euro exchange rate as of June 1 is:
- 1 euro — 51.55 UAH.
Compared to the previous rate, the hryvnia lost 11 kopecks against the euro.
The rise in the euro is important for Ukrainians who are planning trips to EU countries, making money transfers, holding savings in the European currency, or purchasing goods whose prices depend on the euro exchange rate.
What’s happening on the interbank market
On Ukraine’s interbank foreign exchange market, by 4:00 p.m., the hryvnia’s exchange rate against the dollar stood at:
- 44.27/44.30 UAH per dollar.
The hryvnia-to-euro exchange rate on the interbank market was:
- 51.56/51.59 UAH per euro.
This means that on the interbank market, the euro was also trading above the official rate, while the dollar remained relatively stable.
