Agreement on weapons and drones: the main results of Zelensky and Kellogg’s talks

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has met with General Keith Kellogg, Special Representative of the President of the United States for Ukraine. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the Presidential Office.
He called the meeting good.
“Ukraine is extremely grateful to the United States for its support, and we appreciate that President Trump is so determined to achieve real peace. It is very important to implement all the results – political, defense, economic – achieved during our meeting with European leaders in Washington. Undoubtedly, it was a successful summit, a demonstration of true unity between Europe and America. Ukraine, as always, unites the world,” the President noted.
According to him, the parties discussed the issue of influence on Russians.
“Sanctions, duties – everything should remain on the agenda. We are ready to talk in the format of leaders. This is the format we need to solve key issues. Now we need the same readiness in Moscow. Military cooperation is important for Ukraine and the United States, and there are two strong opportunities – an arms purchase agreement and a drone agreement that can significantly strengthen our arsenals,” Zelenskyy said.
The Head of State thanked the United States for its support and noted how President Trump was determined to achieve real peace.
Zelenskyy emphasized the importance of implementing all the results achieved during the joint meeting with European leaders in Washington: political, defense and economic.
Zelenskyy and Keith Kellogg discussed the developments in the security architecture for Ukraine, which are currently being worked on by the teams of Ukraine, the United States and partners. Ukraine expects that the key security foundations will be defined in the near future. The President noted the readiness of the United States to be a part of the security architecture for Ukraine.
The parties also talked about how to influence Russia to force it to real negotiations and end the war. In particular, they discussed sanctions and tariff pressure, the possibility of which should remain on the agenda. The Head of State reiterated that Ukraine was ready for negotiations in the format of leaders to resolve key issues. The President emphasized that Moscow should be equally ready.
Particular attention was paid to defense cooperation, the preparation of a major arms procurement agreement and an agreement on drones. Zelenskyy informed about the implementation of the PURL initiative in coordination with NATO, which allows Ukraine to buy weapons from the United States at the expense of partners. Work is underway to involve additional countries in this program.
Zelenskyy and Keith Kellogg also discussed the return of Ukrainian children abducted by Russia. The Head of State expressed hope that the United States of America, President Donald Trump, First Lady Melania Trump would continue to make personal efforts to return all children abducted by Russia.
