Ukrainian rhythmic gymnastics star wins the World Cup

Ukrainian rhythmic gymnast Taisiya Onofriychuk won the overall title in the hoop event at the 2026 World Cup. In the final stage of the series, held in Milan, Italy, the athlete won the silver medal, allowing her to confidently finish the season in first place.
This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian", citing the Ukrainian Gymnastics Federation.

After all four stages of the World Cup were completed, the winners in each individual discipline were determined.
Taisiya Onofriychuk competed in three of the four stages of the series and scored 145 points, securing her victory in the overall hoop competition standings.

The Ukrainian athlete finished ahead of:
- Italy’s Sofia Raffaelli by 20 points;
- Tahmina Ikromova of Azerbaijan by 35 points.
The silver medal in Milan proved decisive
At the final stage of the World Cup in Milan, Onofriychuk took second place in the hoop final.
She scored 29.550 points, trailing the tournament host, Sofia Raffaelli, by just 0.1 points. In the ball final, the Ukrainian athlete finished sixth.
Eight medals in a single season
The 2026 season was one of the most successful in the Ukrainian gymnast’s career.
In total, Taisiya Onofriychuk won eight medals at World Cup events:
Sofia (Bulgaria)
- gold — all-around;
- gold — hoop;
- gold — ball;
- gold — ribbon.
Baku (Azerbaijan)
- Gold — All-Around;
- gold — hoop;
- bronze — clubs.
Milan (Italy)
- Silver — hoop.
