On Friday, July 17, dry, sunny, and summer-like warm weather is expected in most regions of Ukraine. Highs will generally range from 25 to 29 degrees, while in Zakarpattia and the south, temperatures will reach up to 32 degrees in some areas. At the same time, localized rain and thunderstorms are possible in the southeast. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian", citing a forecast by meteorologist Natalka Didenko.
Weather in Ukraine on July 17: Where It Will Be Hottest
According to Natalka Didenko’s forecast, air temperatures in most regions of Ukraine will range from 25 to 29 degrees throughout the day.
The highest temperatures are expected:
- in Zakarpattia—27–32 degrees;
- in the southern regions — 27–32 degrees;
- in the central and western regions — mostly 25–29 degrees.
It will be cooler in the northeast—around 22–24 degrees.

The Laurent high-pressure system will bring sunshine and dry weather
Weather conditions in most regions will be determined by the Laurent high-pressure system. It will bring mostly clear skies, light cloud cover, and no significant precipitation.
According to the meteorologist, only the southeastern regions will be under the influence of a cold atmospheric front. There, brief thunderstorms are possible in some areas.
Nataliya Didenko’s forecast generally aligns with data from the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center. The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center forecasted short-lived rains and thunderstorms in some areas of the south and southeast on July 16–17, while no significant precipitation is expected in the rest of the country.
Daytime temperatures will mostly range from 23 to 30 degrees.

Friday in Kyiv will be dry and sunny. The daytime temperature will be around 25 degrees.
No significant precipitation is forecast for the capital, so the weather will be comfortable—without excessive heat or sharp temperature fluctuations.
What Will the Weather Be Like This Weekend?
On Saturday, July 18, Ukraine will continue to experience mostly dry, sunny, and moderately hot weather.
On Sunday, July 19, conditions will begin to change in the western regions. There, the forecast calls for:
- thunderstorms;
- localized heavy downpours;
- gusty winds;
- a brief drop in temperature during precipitation.
In most other regions, the weekend will remain dry and warm.
