Ukrainian drones struck Russian strategic targets

On the night of July 20, the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out one of their largest operations against Russian military and logistical infrastructure. The strikes targeted vessels of Russia’s so-called “shadow fleet,” air defense facilities, energy infrastructure in the occupied territory, as well as logistics facilities and an oil depot in the Moscow region.

Unmanned Systems Forces Attacked Seven Ships of Russia’s “Shadow Fleet”

Robert Brovdi, commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces, reported on his Facebook page that on the night of July 20, Ukrainian drone operators struck seven vessels of Russia’s “shadow fleet.”

According to him, the targets included:

three oil tankers;
four dry cargo ships.

The strikes were carried out in both the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov.

In addition, seven power facilities and electrical substations in the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea were struck, specifically in Yalta, Morske, Pryvitne, Luchyste, and other settlements.

Ukrainian drones also attacked the Russian air defense system

According to Robert Brovdi, Ukrainian drones struck six Russian air defense units.

Among the targets hit were:

the “Tor-M2” air defense system;
“Nebo-SV” radar systems;
the “Nebo-U”;
“Kasta-2E2”;
“Gamma-S1M.”

Strikes were carried out against military targets in the Yeysk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and Kamyshevatsk districts.

Operation “MoLoChKa”: 183 vessels have already been attacked

The commander of the Special Forces reported that as part of Operation “MoLoChKa” (“Moscow Will Fall Because of Crimea”), which has been underway since July 1, the Ukrainian military has already attacked 183 vessels of the Russian “shadow fleet.”

He also noted that the capacity of the Kerch ferry crossing has been significantly reduced.

“Three out of five ferries have been destroyed; two more have lost their ability to move under their own power and are now operating only as towed barges,” Robert Brovdi said.

Zelenskyy Confirms Strikes on Logistics and Oil Depot in Russia

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed successful strikes by the Ukrainian military against targets on Russian territory.

In a Telegram post, the head of state reported that the Defense Forces carried out strikes on:

logistics facilities in the Moscow region;
an oil depot in the Moscow region;
two tankers belonging to the “shadow fleet”;
four dry cargo ships in the Black Sea.

According to the president, some of the targets struck were more than 400 kilometers from Ukraine’s state border.

Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine continues to respond to Russian attacks.

“We are responding appropriately to every Russian strike on our cities and communities. This war must be ended, and that is possible only by increasing pressure on the sole cause of this war—Russia,” the President of Ukraine stated.
