Ukrainian canoeists Luzan and Rybachok were crowned European champions in the 2026 European Championships in the double canoe event

Ukrainian rowers Lyudmila Luzan and Anastasia Rybachok won gold medals at the 2026 European Championships in Montemor-o-Velho, Portugal. The crew finished first in the 200-meter canoe doubles race. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian", citing the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine.
The Ukrainians’ time in the final was 43.399 seconds. The Spanish team took second place with a time of 1 .180 seconds, and the Polish national team took third with a time of 1 .515 seconds.
“For Lyudmila and Anastasia, this is already their fourth joint medal at continental championships, and their third gold! It is worth noting that this is the first time Ukrainian women have triumphed in the 200-meter sprint at the European Championships,” the NOC of Ukraine reported.
