Ukrainians urged not to go to the mountains: avalanche danger is expected

“On April 11, difficult weather conditions are observed in the highlands of the eastern part of the Zakarpattia region and in the area of the Chornohora massif (Ivano-Frankivsk region): a severe blizzard, snow transfer, snowdrifts and poor visibility due to low clouds and blizzard, snowfall will continue,” the report says.
Tourists are asked not to go to the mountains and mountain routes until the weather conditions improve.
It should be noted that on the morning of April 10, the Ukrainian Carpathians were covered with snow. In some places, snow drifts reached one meter.
According to snow surveys on 10.04 from the Dragobrat and Pozhezhevska posts, the snow depth was 0.3-0.5 meters.
In addition, according to weather forecaster Natalia Didenko, warming will begin on Saturday, April 12. On Palm Sunday, the temperature is expected to be 12…17 degrees almost everywhere in Ukraine. Later it will be even warmer.
