About 600 museum artifacts stolen by Russia from Ukraine have already been entered into the Interpol database. This was announced in Ivano-Frankivsk by Deputy Prime Minister for Humanitarian Policy and Minister of Culture Tetiana Berezhna, responding to a question from a Ukrinform correspondent, according to [Komersant].
“We have many examples of Russia brutally looting our cultural treasures from museums that were under occupation or are currently under occupation and transporting them to its capital or to St. Petersburg. We are working with Interpol, and about 600 items have already been entered into its database,” Berezhna said.
As a reminder, according to World Bank estimates, Russia has caused $24 billion in indirect damage to Ukrainian culture.
