What will be the power outage schedules on 21 June?

On Friday, 21 June, regional power distribution companies will apply hourly outage schedules throughout Ukraine from 00:00 to 24:00. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the official Telegram channel ofUkrenergo.

The energy company added that from 00:00 to 06:00 and from 13:00 to 23:00, the scope of restrictions will be greater. The reason is the consequences of massive Russian attacks on energy facilities. However, the power supply to critical infrastructure facilities will not be restricted on 21 June.

Current situation in Ukraine’s power system

On the night of 20 June, the Russian Armed Forces launched the seventh missile and drone strike against the power system. Power facilities in 4 regions were damaged: Vinnytsia, Dnipro, Donetsk and Kyiv regions.

Where the security situation allows, power engineers have started emergency repair work. Power supply has already been restored to the de-energised consumers in Dnipropetrovska and Vinnytska oblasts. Consumers in Kyiv region are being supplied with power.

Seven power engineers were injured in the attacks on two power facilities. They are currently in hospital with injuries of varying severity, one of them is in a serious condition.

During the day, electricity was supplied from Romania, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, and Moldova. The total volume is 27,573 MWh, with a maximum capacity of up to 1,700 MW at certain hours.
