Head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak arrived in Washington as part of the Ukrainian delegation headed by First Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Yulia Svyrydenko. The delegation also includes representatives of the Ministry of Defense and the Presidential Office. Yermak announced this on his Telegram channel, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

According to him, the main purpose of the visit is to strengthen strategic cooperation with the United States in the context of the ongoing war.

Key topics of discussion include defense, sanctions, reconstruction, and humanitarian challenges.

“We will actively promote issues important for Ukraine. Our agenda is quite comprehensive. We plan to talk about defense support and the situation on the battlefield, strengthening sanctions against Russia, including Senator Graham’s bill,” said Yermak.

The economic component of Ukraine’s recovery is also in focus.

“We will also discuss the Agreement on the establishment of the Investment Fund for Reconstruction, which was signed earlier,” added the head of the OP.

The Ukrainian side is paying special attention to the issue of deported Ukrainian children illegally taken by Russia from the temporarily occupied territories.

“And also on the issue of returning deported Ukrainian children by Russia and supporting this process,” Yermak emphasized.

Equally important is the topic of Russian disinformation and religious propaganda.

“We will also discuss Russian propaganda related to church issues,” he said.

During the visit, a number of meetings will be held with representatives of both parties of the US Congress, as well as with the team of former President Donald Trump.

The Ukrainian delegation will also share the results of recent talks in Istanbul.

“We will talk about the results of the meetings in Istanbul, as well as how Russia is delaying the ceasefire and negotiations for the sake of war,” summarized Yermak.
