Starting from the new year, teachers will receive a monthly supplement

From the beginning of 2025, teachers will receive a monthly supplement of UAH 1,000 to their salaries as part of the Winter Support program – Teacher’s Supplement. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
“We are allocating a subvention of UAH 4.6 billion for the first half of next year so that starting in January all Ukrainian teachers will receive an additional monthly payment of UAH 1,000 ‘in hand’ after taxes. Starting September 1, it will be UAH 2,000,” Shmyhal said.
The government also decided to allocate UAH 1.6 billion in subventions to local budgets for the purchase of school buses next year.
In addition, the government has allocated UAH 2.8 billion for the program of free hot meals for primary school children. Also, UAH 305 million of subventions were allocated in 2025 to support children with special educational needs.
“We have allocated UAH 150 million of subventions for the regions to improve the qualifications of teachers. This is part of the New Ukrainian School program, which will be continued next year,” the Prime Minister added.
