New Zealand has imposed new sanctions against supporters of Russia’s war. The restrictions apply to 33 individuals and entities. RBC-Ukraine reported this, citing a statement from the New Zealand government, as reported by "Komersant Ukrainian".

Particular emphasis was placed on cybercriminals, as well as those involved in the forced relocation, abduction, and “re-education” of Ukrainian children.
“Children should never be used as weapons of war. New Zealand remains deeply concerned about attempts to abduct and re-educate Ukrainian children through coercive state programs,” Peters said.
Cyber Threats and Propaganda
The package also includes sanctions against malicious cyber actors and those who support the creation and dissemination of anti-Ukrainian propaganda aimed at legitimizing Russia’s war.
“Activities carried out from behind a keyboard can have real-world consequences. Cyber actors are increasingly being used to gather intelligence, evade sanctions, and hinder the activities of those who oppose Russia’s aggression,” the minister emphasized.
Who Else Is on the List
The sanctions also target those who contribute to Russia’s military-industrial complex, Russian political figures, as well as entities from North Korea and Iran that support Moscow’s invasion.
In total, since the Sanctions Act against Russia took effect in March 2022, New Zealand has imposed restrictions on more than 2,000 individuals, legal entities, and vessels. The current package marks the country’s 36th round of sanctions against Russia.
As a reminder, the issue of the forced removal of Ukrainian children to Russia remains one of the most pressing.
