Millions in damages: Occupiers attacked the “Nova Poshta” terminal in Sumy

As a result of a series of enemy drone strikes, the “Nova Poshta” sorting hub in the city of Sumy was damaged. Shipments with a total value of over 42 million hryvnias were located on the terminal’s premises.
This was reported by the company’s press service , according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
What happened?
According to an official statement from Nova Poshta, Russian drones carried out two strikes on the sorting terminal in Sumy this morning.
Fortunately, none of the employees were injured. However, the strikes damaged the building’s roof and some of the equipment. Mesh containers holding parcels were also damaged.
A fire broke out in the building after the strikes but was quickly extinguished with the help of rescuers from the State Emergency Service (SES).
At the time of the attack, there were over 13,000 shipments on the terminal’s premises, with a total declared value of over 42 million hryvnias. An assessment of the extent of the damage and the condition of the cargo is currently underway.

Compensation for Customers
“Nova Poshta” has assured that it will compensate customers for the declared value of shipments that were damaged or destroyed as a result of the attack.

This is not the first time that “Nova Poshta” terminals have come under attack.
On June 12, a terminal in Zaporizhzhia was damaged in a Russian attack. Also, on the night of June 8, during the shelling of Kharkiv, a Russian drone struck the roof of Nova Poshta’s Depot No. 5, causing a fire and the partial collapse of the structure.
