3 June 10:24

Following a massive Russian attack on Kyiv on the night of June 2, the Ukrainian brand FLOCASE announced the complete loss of its production facilities. The company itself reported the destruction of its facilities on social media, noting that the production facilities, which had been under construction for over 10 years, no longer exist, according to "Komersant Ukrainian"

What happened to FLOCASE after the strike on Kyiv

Following the nighttime shelling, the FLOCASE brand published an emotional statement announcing that its production facilities had been destroyed. The company emphasized that what had been built over more than ten years had been lost. The statement explicitly mentions the complete halt of production.

“It’s hard to write this… But it’s even harder to accept that our production facility is gone. They destroyed what we’d been building for over 10 years, but they didn’t destroy our faith in the future,” the statement reads.

The statement was also signed by the brand’s co-founder, Vladislav Streltsov.

The company also apologized to customers for not being able to delight them with new projects and orders for some time. At the same time, the brand emphasized that it will return.

“We are completely halting production and apologize that for a while we won’t be able to delight you with beautiful projects and orders. The main thing is that we are safe and sound. Thank you to each and every one of you for your words of support. We will definitely be back…,” the company noted.

FLOCASE’s post is yet another example of how Russian strikes are hitting not only infrastructure but also small and medium-sized Ukrainian businesses.

Other Ukrainian brands in Kyiv were also affected by the attack

"Komersant Ukrainian" reported that the Russian attack destroyed the family-owned Rutabalm brand in Kyiv, along with a warehouse of recently bottled finished products. The RUTA brand itself—”Ruta: The Magic Potion”—is a Ukrainian craft balm made from 96 botanical ingredients, including Crimean thyme.

"Komersant Ukrainian" reported that as a result of the Russian shelling of Kyiv on the night of June 2, the Ukrainian brand of backpacks, bags, and accessories, keep, lost its office, warehouse, and part of its production facilities.
