Shares of Victoria’s Secret & Co. surged after the company released a strong quarterly report, raised its full-year forecast, and officially began trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the new ticker symbol VSXY. According to Reuters, the stock rose by about 50% and was on track for the best day in the company’s history, reports "Komersant Ukrainian"
Many in the market interpreted the new ticker VSXY as “very sexy,” which fit well with the brand’s updated strategy. But the main reason for the surge was not just associations with the new stock symbol, but primarily strong sales, an updated forecast, and signs that the turnaround in the business was beginning to yield results.
Why Victoria’s Secret shares soared
According to Reuters, Victoria’s Secret’s quarterly revenue rose 15% to $1.56 billion, and adjusted earnings per share came in at 60 cents, more than doubling analysts’ expectations. It was following this that the company raised its forecast for the entire 2026 fiscal year.
The Wall Street Journal also reported that the market reacted positively to the sales recovery, particularly in the bra category, and the stock closed at a record high of around $80.

On May 21, Victoria’s Secret officially announced that it would change its NYSE ticker from VSCO to VSXY effective June 2, 2026. The company explained that this is intended to highlight a new phase in the brand’s development.
In a press release, CEO Hillary Super stated that the new ticker reflects who the company is today and that the brand aims to celebrate “sexy” in all its forms.
That is why the market quickly associated VSXY with the phrase “very sexy.”

Victoria’s Secret stated that the Victoria’s Secret, PINK, and Beauty brands are regaining cultural relevance, expanding their customer base, and have a strong plan for new launches, partnerships, and marketing events ahead.
What is Victoria’s Secret’s new forecast?
Following a strong quarter, the company raised its net revenue forecast for fiscal year 2026 to $7.03–7.13 billion. Previously, it had expected $6.85–6.95 billion.
The forecast for adjusted operating profit was also raised—to $550–580 million, up from the previous $430–460 million.
The company also warned that it expects tariffs to have an impact of approximately $15 million in the current quarter.
