Drones attacked the Saratov Oil Refinery: the Engels airfield was also hit

The Saratov region was attacked by drones on the night of August 2, and the airport caught fire. A fire also broke out at the Engels airfield, which was also struck by UAVs. RBC-Ukraine reported this, citing OSINT sources, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
Social media users began posting about the drone threat around 2 a.m. Within an hour, information about the consequences of the drone attack had already spread.

Footage from Saratov, where an oil refinery caught fire, as well as from the Engels airfield, shows massive fires and thick plumes of smoke in the sky, visible even from a great distance.
The region’s governor, Roman Busargin, confirmed the consequences of the drone strikes through his press office.
“As a result of the UAV attack, civilian infrastructure in Saratov and Engels has been damaged. All emergency services are on the scene,” Busargin’s statement reads.
Strikes on Russia’s Energy Sector
As is well known, the practice of Ukrainian drones striking Russia’s energy infrastructure is no secret to anyone. This is precisely what has led to a fuel crisis in the aggressor country, forcing Russia to import fuel for its own needs.
This primarily concerns gasoline—for example, Moscow recently began purchasing it from India, a country to which it had been selling oil not long ago.
