In the Rivne region, a man opened fire with an automatic weapon on a military alert team, wounding two people. According to "Komersant Ukrainian", this was reported by the Rivne Regional Police.
“In Rivne region, police are searching for a man who opened fire on a military and law enforcement patrol,” the statement said.
As noted, two people were wounded in the shooting. The identity of the perpetrator has been established. The head of the Rivne Regional Police has launched a special police operation.
The incident occurred on April 29 at around 5 p.m. Members of the military alert group, together with a community police officer, spotted a man walking with a bicycle in his hands in the village of Verba, Dubno District. When they approached the man to check his documents, he opened fire on the soldiers and the police officer with an automatic weapon.
One soldier and one police officer were wounded.
A criminal investigation has been opened into the attempted murder. Police are searching for the attacker.

Attacks on military personnel at recruitment centers
It should be noted that recently, Ukraine has seen an increase in the number of attacks on military personnel at territorial recruitment and social support centers.
According to the National Police, more than 600 such incidents have been recorded since the start of the full-scale invasion, and their number continues to rise. The TCS notes that this trend is becoming increasingly threatening.
For example, on April 23 in the Chernivtsi region, a man armed with a knife and a wrench in his car attacked TSC employees. As a result of the incident, the suspect was arrested.
Additionally, on April 18 in Yavoriv, Lviv Oblast, three people broke into the TCC premises and attempted to attack military personnel. Some of the attackers have already been detained.
