Favbet and Glovo are outraged by booking cancellations

Both Glovo and Favbet companies are outraged by the cancellation of their bookings – both companies claim to have fulfilled all formal requirements to obtain the appropriate status. This is stated in the statements of the companies published the day before, according to "Komersant Ukrainian"
Thus, the bookmaker said that only one of its subsidiaries received the reservation, and it is the IT company Favbet Tech.
“Favbet Tech (Favbet Tech LLC) is a Ukrainian IT company within the FAVBET group that develops software. This year, Favbet Tech has exercised the legal right of business to book employees critical to its work. These are 15 people, without whom the company’s activities are virtually impossible. All of them were booked under the general procedure in accordance with the requirements of the current legislation of Ukraine,”
– the company said.
They also stressed that Favbet Tech has been a part of the Ukrainian cyber army since the first days of the full-scale invasion, and the most qualified employees of the company are involved in the development of defence technologies. In addition, since 2024, the company has been a partner of an engineering school where military personnel have been trained to work with FPV drones.
Glovo emphasises that the company is one of the largest taxpayers and has also met the necessary criteria to receive the reservation.
“As one of the largest taxpayers in Ukraine, in accordance with CMU Resolution No. 76 of 27.01.2023, the company received the status of a critical enterprise based on a number of criteria, including the amount and regular payment of taxes, salary level, and the absence of any debt to the state,”
– the company said.
They stressed that the company officially employs 108 people, and only 10 of them are booked. As for the couriers, they “are self-employed, so they cannot be booked”.
The company also noted that in Ukraine, Glovo also has another business line within Glovoprom Ukraine LLC, which does not fall under the booking criteria. This company has more than 50 employees, and 10 of its employees, on the contrary, are not booked but mobilised. Therefore, the company is outraged by the accusations.
“Booking by GLOVOAPP UKRAINE LLC of several employees critical to the smooth operation of Glovo in Ukraine is our right as a business, enshrined in law, and we have exercised this right. We believe that any accusations made by the company in this regard are groundless,”
– the statement reads.
Yesterday, the public was outraged by the information that a betting company and a delivery service were among the companies that received the right to book. After that, Economy Minister Yulia Svyrydenko said she had cancelled the booking order for these companies.
