The suspense surrounding Mykhailo Fedorov will be resolved after 6:00 p.m.: new details on the Cabinet reshuffle have been released

People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak has released updated information regarding the likely composition of the new Cabinet of Ministers, noting that the key question surrounding the personnel changes currently concerns the position of defense minister. According to him, a final decision on the possible appointment of Mykhailo Fedorov is expected after 6:00 p.m., reports "Komersant Ukrainian", citing the MP’s post on his Telegram channel.

“The suspense surrounding Mykhailo Fedorov will only be resolved sometime after 6:00 p.m.,” Zheleznyak wrote.

According to the lawmaker, Serhiy Koretskyi is currently being considered for the position of prime minister .

At the same time, according to him, the following are most likely to remain in the government:

  • Denys Shmyhal— as First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy;
  • Tetyana Berezhna — Deputy Prime Minister for Humanitarian Policy;
  • Serhiy Marchenko — Minister of Finance (though the lawmaker noted that he had also heard Zykova’s name mentioned as a candidate);
  • Viktor Lyashko — Minister of Health;
  • Matviy Bidnyi — Minister of Youth and Sports;
  • Andriy Sybiga — Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Zheleznyak also mentioned a number of other possible personnel changes.

According to him, the Ministry of Social Policy could be headed by Denis Ulyutin or Daria Marchak.

Natalia Kalmykova, according to the lawmaker, is set to be dismissed from her post as Minister for Veterans’ Affairs, and the newly created agency—which will also be responsible for issues related to internally displaced persons—may be headed by Vitaliy Kim, head of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration .

At the Ministry of Education and Science, Zheleznyak claims, Oksana Lisovoy is set to be replaced by Andriy Butenko.

Taras Kachka may step down as Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, and his position will most likely be filled by Ukraine’s representative to the European Union , Vsevolod Chentsov.

In addition, according to Zheleznyak, the government plans to split up the so-called “mega-ministry of resources.” Oleksandr Kravchenko may head the Ministry of Economy and Ecology, while Taras Vysotsky may head the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.

A reorganization of the Ministry of Community, Territorial, and Infrastructure Development is also expected.

According to the lawmaker, Oleksiy Kuleba will leave the government, and the ministry will be split into two separate ministries:

  • the Ministry of Regional Development, which may be headed by Vitaliy Bezgin;
  • The Ministry of Recovery, Infrastructure, and Transport, which may be headed by Mykola Kalashnyk, the head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration .

Among other possible appointments, Zheleznyak named Denys Maslov for the position of Minister of Justice and Oksana Ferchuk for the position of Minister of Digital Transformation.

Regarding the Ministry of Internal Affairs, according to the lawmaker, Ihor Klymenko may retain his position. At the same time, his move to the Ministry of Defense cannot be ruled out .
