“Kernel” has purchased three modular grain storage units manufactured by “Lubnymash” to test alternative grain storage technology. Serhiy Shcherban, the company’s head of the storage department, announced this on social media, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
According to him, the company will test the modular storage units in the Poltava region to assess their technical and economic efficiency.
“We will be testing this technology in the Poltava region. We want to evaluate its technical and operational characteristics in practice: calculate the actual cost, assess loading and unloading efficiency, and identify potential risks. We plan to go through the entire cycle—from loading and sealing to unloading—so that we don’t run into any surprises at the end of the season,” Shcherban noted.
In addition, according to Shcherban, the company is already working on optimizing the cost of modular storage and has made initial progress in this area.
Modular grain storage facilities have become one of the alternative grain storage options that have been provided to Ukrainian farmers as humanitarian aid over the past two years.
