Ozon marketplace apps have been removed from Google Play

The Ozon, Ozon Fresh, Ozon Seller, Ozon Job, and Ozon Travel apps have disappeared from the Android app store. The company announced this, according to "Komersant Ukrainian", citing DW.
The reasons for the apps’ removal are unknown. They currently remain available on the Apple App Store and Huawei App Gallery. Earlier, the Ozon Bank app, which was subject to European Union sanctions, was removed from Google Play.
Russian services are disappearing en masse from app stores
Over the past few months, many Russian services have disappeared from app stores. In June, Apple removed VK apps from the App Store, including “VKontakte,” “Odnoklassniki,” VK Messenger, VK Video, VK Music, “Zen,” and Mail.ru.
In July, similar VK apps also disappeared from Google Play following the EU’s imposition of new sanctions against entities affiliated with the holding company. The European Union justified the restrictions, in particular, by citing VK’s role in suppressing civil society and the opposition in Russia. The “Yandex Pay” payment service was also removed from the App Store. This measure was also attributed to sanctions against “Yandex Bank.”
