Armenia’s Constitutional Court has upheld the results of the June 7 parliamentary elections, which were announced on June 14 by the Central Election Commission (CEC). The court published its decision, according to "Komersant Ukrainian", citing DW.
A press release states that the court decided to uphold the CEC’s decision, which sets forth the results of the elections to the country’s National Assembly (parliament).
“This decision is final and takes effect upon its publication,” the statement notes.
On June 19, seven political parties filed lawsuits seeking to invalidate the election results, including the opposition blocs “Strong Armenia” led by Russian billionaire Samvel Karapetyan and “Armenia” led by former President Robert Kocharyan, as well as “Prosperous Armenia” led by one of the country’s wealthiest individuals, Hagik Tsarukyan. The Constitutional Court consolidated all the petitions into a single case and began its review on June 26. By law, the Constitutional Court must issue a ruling on the petition to annul the parliamentary election results within 15 days.

Results of the Parliamentary Elections in Armenia
According to the final results of the parliamentary elections in Armenia, only three political forces won seats in the country’s parliament: Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s “ Civic Contract ” party, which has been in power since spring 2018, as well as the pro-Russian “Strong Armenia” and the “Armenia” bloc.
According to the Central Election Commission, 49.75% of voters cast their ballots for “Civic Contract,” giving the party 64 seats; 23.27% voted for “Strong Armenia” (29 seats), and the “Armenia” bloc received 9.92% (12 seats). Thus, Pashinyan’s pro-European integration party has the opportunity to form a new government on its own. Meanwhile, “Prosperous Armenia” fell just 0.0107% short of clearing the 4% threshold required to enter parliament.
