Large-scale diplomatic reshuffle: Zelenskyy dismisses Ukraine’s ambassadors to six countries

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed a series of decrees regarding personnel changes in the diplomatic corps. Ukraine’s ambassadors to six countries, as well as Ukraine’s concurrent Permanent Representative to UNESCO, have been relieved of their posts.
This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian", citing the Office of the President of Ukraine.
Who Did Zelenskyy Dismiss?
According to the published decrees, the following individuals have left their diplomatic posts:
- Volodymyr Khovanets — Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Tunisia, who also served concurrently as Ukraine’s representative to Libya;
- Vasyl Khymynets — Ukraine’s ambassador to Austria;
- Valeriy Yevdokimov — Ukraine’s Ambassador to Tajikistan;
- Valeriy Zhovtenko — Ambassador of Ukraine to Kyrgyzstan;
- Kateryna Zelenko — Ambassador of Ukraine to Singapore, who also served concurrently as Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam.

In addition, the president dismissed Vadym Omelchenko from his concurrent post as Ukraine’s Permanent Representative to UNESCO. At the same time, he continues to serve as Ukraine’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to France.
Personnel changes continue
Recently, the President of Ukraine has been actively restructuring the diplomatic corps.
Earlier, the head of state dismissed Olga Stefanishyna from her post as Ukraine’s ambassador to the United States. She stated that she had made the decision to end her diplomatic mission on her own, noting that the key objectives of her work in Washington had been accomplished.
It is expected that the president will appoint new heads of Ukrainian diplomatic missions in the respective countries in the near future.
