In January-February, 3186 citizens reported income of more than UAH 1 million received last year.

“In January-February, 3186 citizens have already reported income of more than UAH 1 million received in 2024. The total amount of their declared income is UAH 21.8 billion,” the report says.

It is noted that these taxpayers have determined UAH 269.6 million of personal income tax and UAH 44.6 million of military duty to be paid to the budget.

According to the State Tax Service, the youngest “millionaire” is 3.5 years old. His authorized representative declared income in the form of inheritance (gift) of property not from family members of the first and second degree of kinship.

The oldest “millionaire” was a 96-year-old resident of Kyiv who declared income from the alienation of securities.

It is also reported that 25 individuals independently declared tax liabilities in the amount of more than UAH 1 million.

Among them, 6 people are residents of Kyiv, 4 – of Kyiv, 3 – of Zakarpattia, 2 – of Sumy and Lviv regions, 1 – of Volyn, Dnipropetrovs’k, Zhytomyr, Zaporizhzhia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, Odesa and Kherson regions.

“In total, over two months of this year, citizens have filed more than 44 thousand tax returns, which resulted in the declaration of income in the amount of UAH 36.2 billion. This is 62%, or UAH 13.9 billion more than in the same period last year,” the agency said.

Residents of Kyiv, Lviv and Dnipropetrovs’k regions were the most active in declaring their income.

The amount of personal income tax declared for payment to the budget is UAH 436.9 million, which is 15% or UAH 54.5 million more than in the same period last year, and military duty is UAH 80.3 million, which is 15% or UAH 10.4 million more.

In addition, more than 16 thousand people declared the right to a tax rebate, which will be refunded UAH 105.7 million from the budget.
