On Friday, May 15, warm spring weather will prevail across Ukraine. No significant precipitation is expected in most regions, but some areas will still be affected by unstable atmospheric conditions. Short-lived rain and thunderstorms are possible in some places. This was reported by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, according to "Komersant Ukrainian"
Where will there be rain and thunderstorms on May 15?
According to forecasters, the most changeable weather is expected in the eastern and northeastern regions of Ukraine.
Short-lived rains with thunderstorms are also possible:
- in Zakarpattia;
- in the Carpathian region;
- in parts of the eastern regions;
- in the northeastern regions.
No significant precipitation is expected in the rest of the country. Partly cloudy skies will prevail.
What will the temperature be on May 15
On Friday, it will become noticeably warmer in Ukraine. In most regions, daytime temperatures will range from 17 to 22°C.
It will be cooler in the northeast of the country and in the Carpathians. There, forecasters predict 14–19°C.
Wind and general weather conditions
Winds are expected to be predominantly westerly, with speeds of 5–10 m/s. In the western regions, they will be southerly.
Overall, the weather on May 15 will be comfortable for walks and trips, but residents of regions where thunderstorms are forecast should bring an umbrella or raincoat.

In Kyiv on Friday, variable cloudiness without precipitation is forecast.
The wind will be westerly, 5–10 m/s. The daytime temperature in the capital will be 19–21°C.

The Kyiv region will also see no significant precipitation. Variable cloudiness is expected.
Daytime temperatures in the Kyiv region will rise to 17–22°C.

Despite the return of warm weather, May weather in Ukraine remains changeable. Local thunderstorms are possible in some regions, and it will be cooler than the national average in the Carpathians and the northeast.
