From 450 to 3,100 UAH: Ukrainians to receive financial assistance ahead of Independence Day

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved the amounts of one-time cash assistance to be provided for Independence Day in 2026. The funds are to be paid out by August 24. The amount of assistance will depend on the recipient’s category and will range from 450 to 3,100 hryvnias. The relevant Resolution No. 602 has been published on the government’s website, according to "Komersant Ukrainian"
The document specifies the payment amounts for war veterans, individuals with war-related disabilities, combatants, victims of the Revolution of Dignity, family members of fallen defenders, and other categories of citizens.
Who will receive the largest payments
The largest amount of assistance will be 3,100 hryvnias. It will be received by individuals who have rendered special services to the Motherland.
Payments ranging from 2,700 to 3,100 hryvnias are also provided for individuals with war-related disabilities and former child prisoners of concentration camps, ghettos, and other places of forced detention who have disabilities.
The amount of assistance depends on the disability category:

How much will combat veterans receive
Combatants will receive a one-time payment of 1,000 hryvnias by Independence Day.
The same amount is provided for:
- victims of the Revolution of Dignity;
- former juvenile prisoners of concentration camps, ghettos, and other places of forced detention;
- children born in places of forced detention of their parents.
Payments for the families of fallen defenders
Family members of fallen or deceased war veterans, as well as the families of fallen Defenders of Ukraine, are eligible for a payment of 650 hryvnias.
Wives or husbands of deceased persons with war-related disabilities will also receive 650 hryvnias, provided they have not remarried.

Who will receive 450 hryvnias
The minimum benefit amount is 450 hryvnias.
This amount will be received by:
- war veterans;
- former prisoners of concentration camps, ghettos, and other places of forced detention;
- persons who were forcibly taken away for labor;
- children of partisans and underground fighters;
- other categories of citizens specified in legislation on social protection for war veterans and victims of Nazi persecution.
When will the assistance be paid?
The one-time cash benefit must be paid by August 24, 2026, that is, by Ukraine’s Independence Day.
Payments will be made according to the recipient’s category and status. If a person is eligible for assistance on multiple grounds, typically only one amount is paid—under the category that provides for the higher benefit amount.
